Dear Bobby ji,

I am quite impressed with the bibliography of your knowledge bank. Nice to meet a person , a friend who is real movie buff as I used to be in yester-years. Back to the topic, I feel this should be published in almost all leading newspapers. An essential eye opener for audiences as well as film fraternity.

Great Job brother.

Regards

Vinay

Vinay ji, Thanks for your kind words and I must say that I feel equally honored to have a creative friend like yourself through this web media playing a big role in our lives now.

Yes, the topic is relevant and it should be read by all who are interested.......but frankly speaking in all these years of my film watching, I still only rarely meet a person who is actually thrilled or excited to know about the inspiration angle.

Though Cinema is the most powerful and famous medium of our country, still it is taken very lightly by most of the people when it comes to its Originality or Creative Writing. Its really sad that most of the youngsters too are only interested about the 3 hour entertainment they are coming for and they are least bothered about whether it is all copied or not.

I am not against inspiration, because if you really are a well read and "Khoji" person then it is more than obvious that you get influenced by some great masters of their arts. That has to be there. But literally copying from another source and not even mentioning its name anywhere in your product disturbs me a lot.

If you dont give the due credits to its original writers then its just like making the claim of painting a masterpiece, when its original painter is unknown, unheard of or is rather dead.

And the biggest irony is that people so fearlessly even go on to the stage to receive prestigious awards for their movies which were all copied from some other person's hard work done in another part of the world.

Still my hope is alive as we do get some Original movies too every year, like this year we had "City of Gold" and "Road to Sangam".

Moreover, movies inspired from our rich Hindi, Urdu, Punjabi literature are greatly welcome always.

So lets keep our hopes alive for the next half of the year.

Cheers!

Dear Bobby ji,

Rather its my honour to befriend such an honest soul who projects thoughtful observation with such an ease as well as crystalline approach. India is still on the process of accepting freedom for they still lack to understand the real meaning of it.
Freedom itself is a huge responsibility and like you said so very well, even the new generation is yet to step in that direction. 90% of youngsters opting for arranged marriages just for the sake that it becomes easy for them to blame their parents if any thing goes wrong, reveals how coward they still are when it comes to taking decisions and facing responsibilities. Such people are not out to look for creativity as it is quite an unsafe zone, they are out to walk in a safe zone, well lined subjects to which they can easily relate themselves and do not have to give any efforts in walking the new path of thoughts.

As for film makers, the way Indian films are getting global responses, I am sure very soon they will forced to walk better.

You reminded me of Pinjar, one of my most favorite movies. I miss Dr. Chandraprakash Dwivedi Ji's work.

Regards

Vinay
