September 08, 2010 Wednesday
A fellow reader visiting the site informed me about an amazing fact about the fame, impact and magic of Hindi Film Music spread all over the globe.
The fact relates to a Manmohan Desai Hit film released in 1973 with the title “Aa Gale Lag Ja” which had Shashi Kapoor, Sharmila Tagore, Shatrughan Sinha and Om Prakash in the lead roles. The movie is reportedly very famous in the region of Algeria since 1975 and shown on Algerian TV more than once in a year. And out of their pure love for the film the people of Algeria have also renamed it as “DJanitou”.
Just search at Youtube with this name or watch the following video to know the truth where a person is singing the song from the movie in his own regional style,
“Tera Mujhse Hai Pehle Ka Naata Koi, Yun Hi Nahin Dil Lubhaata Koi, Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na”

The video rightly proves the Power of Bollywood Music hugely famous all over the globe.

And thanks Fatiha for sharing this valuable info with us.

Amazing !

This reminds me of an incidence when a friend of mine came from Sweden and I took her to my home. She was having absolutely no knowledge of Indian Music and Hindi songs as such. Nevertheless she is so very fond of music that it almost took me to surprise that she had never heard any Hindi songs as of now.

On listening how crazy she is for good and soulful music, I took my Ipod and placed on her ears with old songs of Lata ji and waited.............................

........................waited to see her reaction.

Ipod had more than 500 old songs of Lata ji. After an hour she removed ear phones just to inform me that she has never heard such a velvet soulful voice and she again started listening songs and never stopped till all songs were over. Before leaving from India she almost bought all collections from HMV of Lata ji with her.

I have witnessed this divinity, and it makes me so proud of our Aura-gripping Music. What a Bigness of vibrations, powerful induction waves, resonance of life and a perfect inspiration of breaths. Thanks to Brahm Nad !
