BTC's Excellence in Hindi Cinema Awards for 2015 (Articles on Cinema by Bobby Sing)

12 May, 2016 | Articles on Cinema

BTC Awards 20152015 was a good year in comparison to 2014 as we did get to see many exceptional films both in terms of novel concepts and path-breaking treatment exploring few realistic subjects. But unfortunately, we again didn’t get any complete musical soundtrack that once happened to be the biggest representative feature of our Hindi cinema.
Looking at the brighter side, there were many worth applauding performances as well as directorial ventures taking along the writers in particular giving their much deserving due. However instead of honoring the creators separately through Popular and Critic Awards (as usually done by the trade to oblige all), BTC would like to give joint awards to the outstanding performers continuing with the tradition introduced.
So here are the names of BTC stars who achieved Excellence in Hindi Cinema in the year 2015 with much love and appreciation.

Sir,

Here are some of my preferences -

Supporting actor male - kay kay + irfan (piku)
Best story - ++ bajrangi bhaijaan
Best lyrics - ++ titli ne sare rang + tu kisi rail si ( not sure if it can be included as it is based on a,poem)
Best actor female - kangna (tanu weds manu 2)
Best singer male - Papon ( titli, moh moh k dhage)

Dear Avik,
As I said everyone might have his or her own preferences in this regard.
But thanks for sharing your preferences and here are my justifications for the same.

Supporting actor male - The role of Ranvir Shorey had a lot more variety of shades in his tough character than a straight structured Irfan in Piku.

Best story - BB had no new or fresh story to tell.

Best lyrics - Tu Kisi Rail Ki is a gem from literature that stands tall in front of any such awards and for the rest compare them reading as a poem and not listening them as a song.

Best singer male - It all depends upon how you relate to the particular rendition knowing the finer details.

Best actor female - Kangna had an advantage of an unusual getup and a funny kind of accent to portray an effective role in TWMR-2, whereas Deepika had none to generate the similar strong impact playing the girl next door in Piku.

Hope the explanations serve the purpose of justification.
Cheers!
