The comic flick Bhagam Bhag's suspense plot & the climax location is inspired from Alfred Hitchcock's “Vertigo”.  The fight at the top floor of a building with a huge clock mechanism is the same as used in the Hitchcock classic.

Secondly, the comedy sequence towards the end, where all the characters are on a fire brigade trolley and start falling at different places is straight away taken from the climax of "It’s a Mad Mad Mad World". Even the people fall in almost similar ways as seen in the English comedy.
