Jannat (2008) & Its Real Life Inspirations

As everyone may have already judged, Imran Hashmi’s hit movie “Jannat” was based on the real life incidents of raids on bookies and high profile gambling involved in Cricket.

The movie had a sequence towards it climax in which a team’s coach is murdered as he checks in when the players are taking bribe. This was surely inspired from the suspicious & sudden demise of a famous coach in the 2007 Cricket World Cup.

Moreover it also has some references of "Two For The Money" (2005) where in also Al Pacino hires a young person who is a master of betting in sports.
