Kaagaz Ke Phool - Bobby Talks Cinema.com

Universally acclaimed as one of the most important film of Indian Cinema by the great master filmmaker Guru Dutt. The film is worth seeing for its inventive shot taking, lighting and its unique theme about the last days of a film maker. Guru Dutt captures the true moments in the life of a director, realistically. The songs, the lyrics and the actors everything about the film is just commendable.

Included in the curriculum of major film-making courses in India, the movie demands to be seen with patience and love as it is a bit slow in parts. But if you are a serious cinema lover then “Kaagaz Ke Phool” would be an experience to cherish.

Said to be based on Guru Dutt’s own life, the first cinemascope movie of India is a true masterpiece in totality. Ironically, the movie was not accepted by the viewers when it was released and flopped miserably. But presently, this last movie from the master actor-director Guru Dutt is considered to be his finest work.
