This is a light comedy movie featuring Ashok kumar, Rakesh Roshan, Devan Verma, Bindiya Goswami & many more. The story is about a middle aged widower, Ashok Kumar living a lonely life with his young children. As he decides to marry a widow lady also having her own grown up children, problems start arising since now all the young kids have to live together in one house. It’s a fine comedy with some popular, melodious songs. But interestingly there are more than one movies made in the west on the similar plot.

Khatta Meetha was a super hit while Hamare Tumahare by F C MEHRA was declared a super flop.
Both films story were similiar, anil kapoor was one of the child and main roles were played by Sanjeev Kumar and Raakhee.

Khatta Meetha was just superb and kishore Kumar song Mummy o Mummy, Tum Kab Saas Banogi.
Brilliant performances by the entire cast & all the songs including THODA HAI THODE KI ZARORAT HAI.
