"Take movies, music, poetry out of life & its gone!"

Madhushala - Verses on \"Death\" by Sh. Harivansh Rai Bachchan

29 Oct, 2008 | Articles on Music, Poetry and Life

Only those should cry, when I am dead, who have lived life as I have. Who have experienced poetry, music and have tasted the wine of life as I did. Those should pick up my body who cannot walk due to their drunken state. And just burn my body at the place where once we all friends used to meet, drink and celebrate life.
Don’t do the rituals at my dead body as you do for all the normal men. Don’t cry and feel sad when I am gone far from all my dear friends. My beloved, if you ever decide to do some rituals for my soul being at peace, then just rejoice, dance and sing as we did in our living days. Call all my close friends and simply drink and feel blessed to be still here as your friend is gone.
