You may not have heard of “New Delhi” as it is one of those unknown movies, which simply go unnoticed at the time of their release. But in reality, it should be included in the list of classy and path-breaking bold movies. One of the best performances from Jeetendra, in a difficult but well written role. He is impressive in an intense and serious character of an editor and performs his act convincingly.

The movie has a novel concept in which an editor of a leading newspaper, gets a crime committed in night by his associated and becomes the first to publish the news of the same next morning. The entire star-cast has done full justice to their characters. The second half is racy and highly entertaining with a brilliant background score giving great support to the thrilling plot. Don’t take it as a slow intense movie, considering its name or its posters. On the contrary, “New Delhi” has some great surprise element for all lovers of thriller movies out there.

I think the film Naseeruddin Shah starrer \'Surkhiyaan\' has a similar plot?

Also pretty excited to know this as I loved the movie NEW DELHI more for its innovative theme only.
