No Smoking (2007) & its inspirations. |
The basic storyline of "No Smoking" is very much on the same grounds of Stephen King's short story “Quitters’, Inc.” This story was included in the movie "Cat's Eyes" (1985) which had three stories featuring a mysterious cat.
In “Quitters’, Inc.” story - The cat is picked up by a certain Doctor, who lives in New York and who uses experimental techniques to get people to quit smoking. His recent client is the main character, who faces some drastic consequences if he tries to cheat the doctor's step-by-step quit smoking policy.
