Pushpak - Bobby Talks Cinema.com

This is a one of its kind experimental movie from the thinking mind of Kamal Hassan. A silent comedy in the late eighties was no doubt a daring attempt by the producer director. And since it was a quality effort by its creative team, the film was widely accepted and appreciated all over. Though it’s a silent movie in the sense of no dialogues and only background music, but few minutes in the film and you will not feel watching something new and out of the box. The direction is of such a class that you don’t realize that we are not having any dialogues here.

The story is expressed beautifully, especially the love chase between Kamal Hassan and Amla filmed remarkably. Hats Off to the makers of this movie that they had the courage to put money in such kind of risky but creative venture. Really a treat to watch with Kamal Hassan in his true form.
